My familiarity with a wide spectrum of writing—fiction and nonfiction books, film scripts, TV pilot pitches, academic papers, business writing, even love letters—you name it, I’ve edited it.
My extensive experience in the industry: over a decade of publishing industry experience and 7 years of freelance writing and editing.
My deep and nerdy love of talking about the minutiae of words and stories.
My lifelong, voracious, and expansive reading habit that has embedded storytelling into my DNA (check out my goodreads page!)
What does my coaching entail?
Based on your individual needs, I tailor a custom approach to keep you inspired and help you accomplish your writing goals. This could include:
Phone or Zoom sessions during which we discuss your writing projects and goals in detail.
Supplementary developmental editing: After we discuss your projects in our phone or Zoom session, you send me your work to read. I provide suggestions for organization of story or ideas, characterization, theme, pacing, and so on.
Copy editing and proofreading: Once your project is complete, I can copy edit and proofread your writing to ensure it is clear, concise, and error free.
Email support: Have a quick question or need to bounce an idea off someone in between sessions? I’m there for you! Send me an email, and I’ll respond within 24 hours on weekdays.
